Vietnamese Supporting Industry Enterprises Tap into Opportunities amid the Coronavirus Outbreak

Due to severe impacts of the COVID-19, a multitude of Vietnamese businesses are struggling with the lack of materials for production. Nevertheless, in the views of local supporting industry firms, it is considered as an opportunity to boost sales and enhance partnerships with manufacturing companies.

Sharing about the opportunities amid the coronavirus outbreak, the owner of a local manufacturer of mechanical products said that the number of orders has risen by 40% over the same period of last year. Notably, customers are mainly foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises. There are two significant reasons for this increase. First, these firms are lacking production materials because of restrictions on imports. Second, overseas experts are unable to travel to Vietnam to supervise. Therefore, those have to make purchases from domestic supporting companies, which helps local firms take part in more deeply in global supply chains.

In order to penetrate Vietnamese emerging market, technology owners should expand their business circles through networking platforms, such as METALEX Vietnam, Vietnam’s leading international exhibition on metalworking and machine tools. The event will be held in the period of 08-10 October, 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, paving the way for exhibitors to showcase their up-to-date solutions to tackle buyers’ adversities. With 10,000 visitors converging under one roof to witness latest innovations, the exhibition is a must-attend event to enhance business growth in manufacturing and metalworking sectors.
